Is the cumin in this recipe ground or whole?

Recipe only says cumin. If I was to assume I would use whole cumin, but is that correct?

I use ground as well! If you can find high oil ground cumin, all the better

I buy it in the bulk section at Central Market here in Texas, I am sure someone online has it though - maybe Penzey’s??

Either will work. But in my experience ground gives more flavor.

If you have only cumin seeds, grind them (in a coffee grinder, blender, food processor) or crush in a plastic bag with a rolling pin.
