Is the cumin in this recipe ground or whole?

Recipe only says cumin. If I was to assume I would use whole cumin, but is that correct?

I buy it in the bulk section at Central Market here in Texas, I am sure someone online has it though - maybe Penzey’s??

I use ground as well!  If you can find high oil ground cumin, all the better

Either will work. But in my experience ground gives more flavor. If you have only cumin seeds, grind them (in a coffee grinder, blender, food processor) or crush in a plastic bag with a rolling pin.
